Cleveland – Grunt Girl Racing

Grunt Girl Racing was founded by six women who are genuinely involved in the multi-sports scene.

“Our passion for the sports we participate in has inspired us to create a team/club that supports and encourages women of all ages, specifically newbies, to participate in recreational/training rides and runs, or participate in a variety of races,” said Stacy Rhea, president of Grunt Girl Racing.

Grunt Girl Racing is all about support, encouragement, and inspiration, as well as the social aspect, Rhea said.  Having a group of experienced, fun-loving women to lead and guide other women through the beginning stages of a multi-sports event is reassuring and motivating.

“We have been in the shoes of the newbie. We know how intimidating it can be to step into the race scene or just to simply get started,” Rhea said.

The camaraderie among the founders is infectious. The girls agree: being fit makes you happy, and having friends to share these experiences with creates a lifetime of great memories.

“We have had our fair share of laughs, triumphs and inspirational moments, now it’s time to share these experiences with other women,” Rhea said.

Grunt Girl Racing is in the process of laying the groundwork for the fall training and race season.
